Jarrad could be classified as somewhat of a hybrid. In his early twenties he left his South Oz roots, where he developed an affinity for surfing and honed his ocean skills. From here a move north to the warmer waters of the Gold Coast would further refine his style and tube riding skills. Jarrad then polished his competitive act in the busy environment of Sydney. This apprenticeship led to a campaign on the World Tour and the respect of his peers around the world.
Arguably one of South Australia's finest exports, Jarrad’s popularity is not solely defined by his surfing achievements. Kind, friendly, adventurous, and always ready to pass on his extensive knowledge to the next generation of surf stars. Put simply, Howse is one of the most popular surfers in the world.
