FCS is pleased to announce the signing of Costa Rican surfer Carlos Munoz to the global team.

Carlos, who was recently named the best Latin-American surfer in history in Ecuador, has been steadily building his competition resume. 2012 was highlighted by a win at the ASP Airwalk Lacanau Pro Junior in France, and more recently he was bestowed the converted Todd Chesser award for his performances during the 2012 Hawaiian season.

Carlos not only possesses an amazing ability to surf on and above the wave, he also has a mature rail game, the foundations of which are built on power and flow. Carlos will now be able to fully capitalize on these traits by accessing the most comprehensive range of FCS products, and the very latest in system and fin technology.

FCS Brand Ambassador Richie Lovett made comment on the new acquisition. “Carlos is on track to succeed at the elite level of pro surfing. His talent is unquestioned, and above that he has a great attitude to life and he really encapsulates the essence of surfing, that’s surely a result of growing up in Costa Rica. We’re pumped to have Carlos on the team.”

2013 is shaping up as a great year for Munoz. He plans to compete in multiple events while keeping his profile on a steady incline by working closely with his sponsors.

“Quote by Carlos… I’m looking forward to getting the most out of my surfing now that I have access to some so many amazing products; fins, pads, boardbags, leashes, luggage, FCS has everything!. I’ve been testing different fins and fine tuning my choice, I’ve also been leaning that certain fin templates are better suited to different waves. I want to reach my goals this year and now I’m confident I have the equipment I need”.
