2014 was quite a significant year… At the completion of the WSL season surfing crowned a new World Champion; Gabriel Medina. It was Gabriel’s maiden men’s World Title victory, but it also marked an impressive 5th World Title for the revolutionary FCS II fin system.

The 2014 Pipe Masters was a significant victory for Julian Wilson, because it not only handed him the Triple Crown trophy, it was also the 18th WCT win by a surfer riding the FCS II system.

In 2014 there were 7 WCT victories on the women’s tour, and 7 victories on the men’s tour, with FCS team rider Mick Fanning responsible for three wins alone.

Prior to the Hawaiian season, Harley Ingleby won his second WSL Longboard World Title in China riding the FCS II system, and the new FCS II longboard fins that are set to revolutionise the single fin market in both longboarding and SUP.

In what was a very competitive year on the World Qualifying Series, Filipe Toledo easily outclassed his rivals to finish on top of the WQS ratings.

FCS II was released back in March 2013, and since hitting the market has quickly become the new undisputed world standard fin system. The statistics speak for themselves, and to date no other fin system can lay claim to a single World Title.

2015 is set to be a huge year for the FCS II system and our team surfers as innovation continues to influence surfing equipment and the performances of surfer’s around the world.

Watch the statistics grow…
