FCS II Aipa Twin + Stabiliser Fin

Akila Aipa's Specialty Twin + 1 set, designed to suit his unique board templates. This high area Twin was built to be pushed hard through turns with a centre fin for added control.

“I have put about five years into this fin, as far as tweaking it to get it where I wanted. It has a medium base and medium surface area but is more upright and has a thinner tip which will offer you pivot on the face and the pocket, while still giving you stability and drive.” - Akila Aipa

  • Overview

Designed by Akila Aipa, son of Hawaiian legend Ben Aipa, this twin fin template was developed to complement the design of his unique board templates, focussed more on performance than aesthetics. Overall a smaller set-up that can be used as a twin or throw the trailer in for a more familiar 'thruster feel'.

    Board Types

    • Designed to fit the FCS II Fin System.
    • Recommended for all board types including fish, funboard and twin fin boards.

  • Performance Glass

Performance Glass (PG) fins are machine cut from layers of solid fiberglass. These fins are stiff, and are widely used by pro level surfers because the integrity of the flex is maintained under immense force, and in the most extreme of conditions and situations.

      Happy surfer

These fins were just right with a bit more drive then my other fins. Always fun to try news fins and the FCS2 setup is so easy.

      Shredtastic.

Good fins, if a touch heavy. Thruster control with a twin fin feel.

      Aipa 2+1

This fin template is exactly what I was after. They are more upright and a bit less area than a lot of other twin fins and work really well in a more performance twin. I use them mostly as a twin and only throw the stabilizer in once it gets overhead. These are a great combo for the lighter surfer. Cheers
